Hey there, I also had a load of other suggestions as issues on Github, should I just resubmit them all here under the request and features tags?
Quite a few of them I left opened and labeled as
potential RFCas I believed they aligned with our product roadmap and I wanted the team would take a look at them. You can leave those ones in Github.If there were any that I closed that you would still like to see please feel free to open up a discussion here around them. You can label them just like you mentioned and maybe with the discuss label as well! Thanks Lee.

There has been discussion on this off and on for a few years. This issue github.com/forem/forem/issues/1716 had good discussion both for and against this idea. I ended up closing it in the repo because it had been open for a long time without any really consensus. I'd be happy to open up a post here for people to discuss the feature if you would like :)
I do agree that there are some really good points being made on both sides of this. Personally I like the suggestion that the feature could be a preference a user can toggle on/off in their settings. Users have unique behavior habits that they've built over time and giving them the option to choose would be great.
