Hello Creators!
We previously released a huge improvement to our Member Detail Page and at that time, I hinted there were more updates on the way. Well, that time has come! π Finding and managing your members is about to become much easier.
Improvements
Now, when you go to the Member
section of the admin panel, you will find a much-improved list of your members. This page is now fully accessible and responsive. We adjusted many parts of the page layout and structure to make it more intuitive for all users
With this update, we focused on showing the most useful fields for all different kinds of Forems to locate members. We removed ID, Twitter and GitHub accounts, and the email address fields. This gave us the space to add status
, last activity
, joined on
, and organization
fields.
Why these fields? Many Creators told us that they want to understand what Members recently engaged or recently joined. We also realized it would be helpful if members could identify who has been promoted with special permission or flagged for violations of the code of conduct. You can now filter based on role or search on this page easily. On DEV we find this quick snapshot of members useful for both moderation and user engagement activities.
We brought this same level of care for accessibility, responsiveness, and usability into the invitations and GDPR deletion request subpages. With this release, all three of these pages are easier to use.
New Features
We also added two new features: export members
and member actions
. You can now download to CSV a list of members with one click on the icon on the upper right screen. Right now, it is a list of all members. In the future, as we add more filters to this page, the download will respect those filters. This has been a highly requested feature.
You can also now also take quick actions on members from the overflow menu on each row. Right now, we are only allowing the admin to copy the userβs email address, but more will be coming soon.
Coming Next
This is just our first phase of improvements to the member index page. Here is a quick preview of our design images of what is coming next...
More improvements to Invitation and GDPR Delete Requests!
More Filters! Personally, I am most looking forward to having the ability to filter based on last activity date and status.
More actions from the overflow menu!
That's all for now β but when there's more for us to share on this topic, you can bet I'll be in your feed with a full rundown of the changes we've made, motivated by our Creators' needs and preferences.

Another awesome update from the Forem team! Lots of love and big thank you to everyone who contributed to these new changes π
My fav updates are:
ability to view when each user was last active and when they joined the community.
ability to export members, an important step toward true ownership of your community
Thanks again for the insights @jennieocken. Always looking forward to more!
+1 for member export !
Possible to share which quay digest/tag support this.
I'm not sure I understand your question. Can you reframe it / provide more context please?
I was looking for docker registry tag for this. Found the digest already from this location (https://quay.io/repository/forem/forem?tab=tags&tag=latest). See my update below. I managed to run latest code on production.
Nice just deployed this on production, smooth,
Fantastic! I am glad you were able to get it to production and start making use of the update.
