This is a good topic in general. As a forem accumulates resources, it's bound to want something like this, especially when there is a "main topic" for the forem like here with forem development....
I think it might be cool if we introduced a sort of "maintenance" of certain canonical posts, perhaps allowing people to edit and maintain them over time, with the author's permission... Where all posts just start as posts, but with better collaborative maintenance of older posts and the ability to select some as canonical guides.
