Hello @coffeecraftcode and @benjaminb , I would like to give you some more info about, "what were nforem and oforem".
The term
nforem
signifies the new/latest deployment => where as theoforem
represents old/backuped(successfully previously installed Forem)Why I even introduced such a thing.
It is just a backup solution, in case of failed stages during the new deployment. And to make sure that the Forem instance can also rollback one previous instance.
If you need more info, on how I intent to use this in the future deployments/ iterartions fo t2d script, ping me back! => This feature is very crutial for making the script more flexible.
@akhil you have probably linked this somewhere on forem.dev already but could you send me a link to your YouTube video? I'd love to learn more about your set up of Forem.
Step by Step tutorial on how to install Forem

This post conatins all the neccessary information => Including the video and the Post Installation Steps.
Thanks for the extra context! I always appreciate learning from you and your perspective @akhil
Hey Benjamin. Welcome to forem.dev and congrats on starting to set up your Forem.
I see you have a couple of questions regarding self-host. Can you confirm for me which self-host path you have taken so I can see if I can help you out here.
Did you use the Forem self-host repo and guide? Or are you setting up your Forem instances a different way?
If it isn't the Forem self-host repo and guide the team here at Forem are probably not going to be much help but we can try to help you get answers from others in the community who have taken a different path as well!
i followed @akhil 's video on youtube.
Thanks for the context @benjaminb !
There are some questions we might not be able to answer since Akhil's development is different from the official forem self-host guides. I think some of them have already been answered by our team which is great!
If you start finding you can't get answers to your questions while working on your Forem we can try to crowd source answers from the community here.
my next step will be following up your installation guide for the next setup. Let's see what will be my experience. Of course i will share my experinces for sure!
Do you have a video tutorial for that installation ? @coffeecraftcode
No but I can create one pretty soon. Right now I just have the written tutorials. It's been on my list of things to do anyway. I'll see about getting one up in the next week.
