The Proof-of-Stake social network I built on Algorand with Forem now has over 1,000 users. This is a big milestone. We recently fully-secured the Algorand login functionality which checks the balance of the HDL token in your wallet before logging in. This login feature supports all major Algorand wallets. We will also be launching Apple and Android apps soon. It's worth noting that this level of customization is very complex.
Fully-securing the blockchain login functionality took a significant amount of time. The ecosystem we have built on Algorand loves seeing the real world applications of blockchain technology, and FORUM is a great example of practical Web 3 use cases for trustless social media interaction. Additional custom features we are considering adding include tweet-style feed interaction and NFT listings.

Im curious about how this works. The profile (user data) is still connected to a centralized database while the HDL tokens are used only as a check for access?
