Hi there,
I routinely tested my onboarding today (theelastic.guru), I found that although I have a welcoming thread setup, post onboarding (when you are offered 3 choices through the task cards, introduce yourself, edit profile etc) when choose the welcome thread it takes me to a different post.
I can't seem to find an option in the admin interface to update the configuration to ensure that the post onboarding cards point the user in the right direction.
Can anyone help?

Hey @lee , this is the page I'm going to when I click on that link on theelastic.guru.
With the way the Welcome page is set up right now, theelastic.guru/welcome should automatically direct to the most recent post you create as the Admin user for your site (usually user #1 but that can be changed from Community Content on your
/admin/customization/config
) with the #welcome tag on it.Have you created a page more recently than 22 June that you tagged #welcome, which is not appearing when I click on the
😊Join the Welcome thread
button?Gotcha, yeah I am using the welcome tag in other places on that account, thanks for the heads up as always :D
It's always a joy :)
This is something in the pipeline, but for now it's helpful for us to reiterate to Creators that
/welcome
will always bring users to the most recent post your main Admin user tags with #welcome. Feel free to have a separate user account for yourself and tag all those posts with #welcome if you want!I'm just speculating here, but you could maybe make both users admins of the same organization so you can switch between authors (ok, now I really want to try this before I suggest that it will work!)...
I cant see a way to change the admin user ID though (which is currently me) does that mean that anyone can add the welcome tag to a post and that will overide the onboarding welcome thread card?
Do you see a Staff User field under Community Content on
/admin/customization/config
? There should only be one user whose posts are triggering the/welcome
path update, and the number in this field should (hopefully 😬) be their User ID...yeah I can see it 🤦🏻♂️ thanks for the help 😎
Brilliant! Glad we found it!
