Hello!
I feel somewhat 'guilty' using Apple's Podcasts App as a player when I have a built-in podcast player on This MMA Life
There are some things that I can't do without though, and those primary two things are:
Saving a podcast episode so I can easily find it again if I want to re-listen.
Enhanced saving of Podcast episodes and playing progress. #7770
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
No
Describe the solution you'd like
I think to really take over as a community users primary mobile podcast app, then we need the ability to save/favourite a podcast episode so it appears in 'reading list' (maybe rename that to something like 'saved' so there is space for other saved resources, rather than just posts?) and the progress of a podcast to be saved so that it always stays persistent regardless of the amount of time between listening progress, which could lay the ground work for listening where you left off across devices.
Backend podcast progress tracking, so I can pick up where I left off (when auth'd) from any device, even if I log out, close the browser or quit the native app.
Podcast listening progress tracking, server-side. #8218
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Nope!
Describe the solution you'd like
I would to ensure that whenever I am listening to a Podcast, on any device, I won't lose progress either when iOS tries to reclaim resources from an idle app or when switching between web and mobile. The podcast listening bar is always persistent when I login from any device.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Trying to memorize the progress so when it disappears on iOS, I can remember where I am up to again.
Additional context
I think this one feature is one of the final steps to this becoming a good Podcast replacement on mobile.
What do you think? Good suggestion but not a priority or the best thing since sliced bread? :)

Improving Podcast functionality would be great!
Again another instance where a public roadmap of sorts (even if there isn't a firm commitment to it) would be very helpful.
