We've designed Forem to work with a different type of internal Display Ads system that doesn't utilize third-party ads, so we can't provide instructions on how to add these to self-host. The community may be able to help here.
We understand that running a Forem costs money, so if you'd like to monetize your community, we recommend you consider using Web Monetization that is opt-in by definition..
