Is it possible to set user reputation requirements before they can publish?

Hi everyone! I'm running a self-hosted forem community and facing an influx of spam accounts. To protect our genuine users and foster a positive environment, I'm exploring ways to limit posting and commenting privileges for new members until they earn some reputation. Looking for features like,

• Assigned default Read-Only role. Looks like we can assign a limited role but not sure what this role does.Seeing no difference between good standing vs limited.
• Do not allow posts for certain days, let's say 30 days for a new account (configurable)

Does anyone know if such features are currently available within forem or through plugins?
