I really like Forem. I have used it on Dev.to. I want to use it to make a community of my own but I'm not sure if a markdown editor is ideal for my non-technical audience. So is there any alternative to the Markdown editor?

While it isn't a new editor, we do have a new toolbar that we just added to our editor to make things easier for folks who don't have experience with Markdown. Please do check it out and let us know what you think about the experience!

We have some news coming very soon about updates to the editor that will hopefully be helpful for you and your community. As today is a public holiday in the US where much of our team is based, we won't be announcing it until next week.
