As far as options for self-hosting Forems, I personally like DigitalOcean, but all of these will be fine.
If you run into any problems getting set up, come back here and make a post seeking help.
And then once you get up and running, poke around admin, look to get properly configured, and then again, come back here if you want more help.
If you get stuck anywhere please don't hesitate to come back to forem.dev or reach out to hello@forem.com for our help! Once you're fully up and running it will all be about keeping up with community moderation and making it the best Forem you can.

I joined here because the Dev.to community inspires me, and I'd like to try and kickstart a similar community for people who code with assistive tech (not necessarily with just my tool). Also, I'd like to get involved with any of the accessibility features of forem both to learn and contribute!

I've had blogs here and there all over the place, some self-hosted (most now derelict 😓); Dev.to has been a great experience so far for my interests - hopefully Forem will be coziest project I'll be looking at for some time 😊
Main skills are Linux (obvs), Python (v good level) and Bash scripting (near-expert 😅).
I'm mainly interested in self-hosting on *nix platforms, and I look forward to feeding back any deployment improvements to Forem to make it just That Much Easier 😄
