selfhost aws db connection

I'm able to selfhost the forem in aws; I see the db is not a RDS connection; How do i make a connection to the postgres?

I have large sets of data from flarum which i wanted to migrate to Forem.

Flarum has nice POST Comment API which Foren is lacking. https://developers.forem.com/api

So i can Post the articles but on the Comments;

If i can make a connection to postgres with sqlclient that would be real help.

Please advise.
