Altering Code of Conduct

When editing pages at my self-hosted Forem installation, I have stumbled upon the following text:

Do I understand this correctly that if a given community changes/adjusts their code of conduct, their Forem installations will not be able to update?

This is quite a problem, since:

• The communities need to translate their Rules of Conduct in their native languages - will that means that they will not be able to receive updates?
• Communities may be willing to alter their rules according to their vision/local corcumstances
• Sometimes communities need to write more detailed codes of conduct and moderation rules

I would be grateful for explanations regarding translating and altering codes of conduct/privacy plocies
