We're excited to announce that we have restructured the admin creator navigation to make it more accessible, useful to creators and extensible to developers for new features.

Just to refresh your memory, this is a screenshot of the creator navigation previously:
The new restructure introduces a logically grouped navigation in the form of menus at a first level and tabs at a second level (See GIF above for a visual representation). Consequently, we have updated the URL's of these pages to reflect this new structure. So, if you have any admin creator items bookmarked, please be sure to update them :)
This change creates a significant impact to the Forem creator user experience, because creators will now be able to make updates to their Forem with more ease and intuition.

A much welcomed improvement! As I have been slowly setting up my Forem community, I have at times felt that the accessibility of the Admin dashboard could be reworked. It's like the team read my mind 💚
So far I only got to test the new navigation system really quickly, but it already felt much easier to use. Will be sure to provide further feedback if there is anything interesting that comes up.

At the moment, I encounter the most friction with the "Customization > Config" section. There is a lot going on in there which is fine because Forem offers a lot of features/functionality but some things can be improved, in particular the following tabs: Community Content, Images, Mascot, Meta Keywords, User Experience and Brand.
I completely understand your frustration with this section. You'll notice on our open source repository that we're actively tackling the admin interface (config section included) and working towards having these sections within a more contextualised and intuitive view. We look forward to shipping these updates and reducing that friction for creators. We'll keep ya'll updated here!
